DRAYTON
Drayton is a small village of golden local Hornton ironstone.
The parish church, the Grade II* listed St. Peter's, is in a quietly secluded hollow on the edge of the village surrounded by fields. Access is down a steep lane with steps down into the church. The church dates mainly from the 14th century and was much restored in the 19th century. It has an unusual tower which is only slightly higher than the roof of the nave. Full details about St. Peter's Church can be found here.
Drayton is mmediately to the west of Banbury on the A422 Banbury to Stratford-upon-Avon road.
