The Church of St. John the Baptist, Grove
The attractively modern Church of St. John the Baptist, built in the 1960s, was built to replace the St. James' Church which was built in the beginning of the 20th century but was now derelict. The foundation stone is dated 1965. It incorporates items from St. James' including the font, a stained glass window depicting St. James and a panel listing successive vicars of the parish. St. John's Church is the second church in Grove to have been dedicated to St. John. Grove is said to have had a chapel of St. John the Baptist until it was destroyed in 1733.
